The consequences of the virus on conflict-affected states are so powerful that United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres has <a href=\"https:\/\/news.un.org\/en\/story\/2020\/03\/1059972\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">called for a global ceasefire<\/a> to stop violent conflict in support of the fight against novel coronavirus.<\/p>\n<p>The Political Settlements Research Programme is committed to supporting communities experiencing violent conflict.
