It derives its analytical framework from the FAO Gender-Sensitive Value Chain (GSVC), while contextualising its key components to the institutional and socioeconomic dynamics in northwest Syria, in addition to a series of key informant interviews and two in-country focus group discussions with a diverse set of stakeholders, including women farmers, owners of home-made agri-food workshops and representatives of quasi-state agricultural governance structures.
